Finding motivation to be active can be difficult. Between school, work and extracurricular activities, there are many commitments competing for your time and energy. While it may not seem as important as school, caring for your health and wellness can have a positive impact on your academic performance, energy and mood. By staying active, you may actually feel better about other areas of your life! Here are are some tips to help you stay motivated:
Do you want to add more movement to your day, but don’t know where to start? You’re not alone! There is a lot of information about physical activity/exercise/movement, whatever you prefer to call it, and it gets hard determine fact from fiction. But, movement doesn’t have to be complicated! To get started, ask yourself these three questions:

Do What You Enjoy
You are more likely to stay active throughout your life if you enjoy what you're doing. Ask yourself, “What type of activity would I enjoy and look forward to?” Focus on how movement makes you feel and what works best for you.
Break it Up
Instead of dedicating a chunk of your day to movement, try adding in smaller, more frequent movement breaks such as: walking, dancing, or walking up and down stairs.
